This little cottage was the perfect stay for our family of 4 on the island of Vieques. It had everything we needed!! One thing to note is the water supply... read more (happens everywhere on the island) can sometimes be shut off without notice. We were actually without water supply for about 24 hours during our stay. The host was super responsive by bringing us bottled water and a barrel/bucket to use to manually refill the toilet for flushing. It's no fault to the home owners, it's an infrastructure thing. Our friends, who were also in an AirBnB just down the street lost it on a different day. What I will say though, is DON'T LET IT PREVENT YOU FROM GOING TO VIEQUES. We still absolutely loved being there. It was by far our most favorite portion of our trip (also spent time in different spots on the main island of PR). I would go back and stay at this house again in an instant. Also recommend Abe's for Bio Bay tours, rent a golf cart, snorkeling at Green Beach and Swim at Curacas Beach.

We loved feeling like a local on the street: waking up to the roosters, trying not to let Mr. Gray the cat sneak in our jeep in the mornings and chasing a horse out of the yard when we accidentally left the gate open. Walkable to some of the most stunning beaches and Esperanza for dinner options. Only suggestion-- need more microwave plates and firmer mattresses.

Recommendation: Look up which way the wind is blowing and which beaches are clear of sargassum (seaweed) during the time you'll be visiting -- changes everything! Our favorites were Caracas & Sun Bay. Definitely splurge for the jeep and explore the NWR and Playa Grande. Luminescent biobay a true highlight (Nena Biobay has motorboat option for kids to join. ) Loved every minute.

  Big, comfortable, spacious airbnb. Quiet street and 10 min walk to the beach or restaurants. Worth the trip.
